Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician at Lackland AFB-San Antonio, TX.

Detailed Description:

Research and analyze network design
-
Conducting engineering tests and troubleshooting on server validation platforms.
-
Technical functions in support of engineering
-
Experimental testing to collect data and assist in research work.
-
Performing initial reviews of test result and uploading output data to appropriate repositories.
-
Troubleshooting when validation platforms fail to yield desired results.
-
Communicate results and prompt notification of any gating issues.

Support cross function engineers
-
Build configure and test server validation platforms.

Installation of various PC operating system and software applications
-
Configure/operate industry standard test and measurement equipment for debug and data collection.
-
Installation and configuration of network KVMs and power distribution units.
-
The work involves functions such as research, data analysis, development, design, evaluation, inspection, problem solving, production, application, standardization, testing, or operation of engineering facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, or materials.

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Technical Requirements
-
Must be U.S. Citizen
-
KMI School Certified.
-
Active TS/SCI Clearance.
-
Two Year degree or equivalent experience
-
5+ years of experience working at an Engineering Technician capacity
-
Experience working with COMSEC Equipment
-
Experience in installation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues in Windows/Linux OS environments
-
Knowledge of general validation and automation principles
