Description About Checkmarx Checkmarx is the AI-powered application security leader helping the world’s most security-conscious enterprises secure the software that powers modern life. For more than two decades, our unified platform and services have helped organizations protect human and AI-generated code from the first line through runtime, reducing risk across applications, cloud, and the software supply chain without slowing innovation. We're trusted by 1,600+ customers in 70+ countries, including some of the largest enterprises and governments in the world. Guided by research-led innovation and a developer-first mindset, we help every developer, security team, and enterprise build software that is risk-free by design. About the Role As an Enterprise Account Manager covering TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas), you'll drive new business and expand existing enterprise relationships across one of our strategic territories. This is an opportunity to sell at the intersection of cybersecurity, Artificial Superintelligence, and modern software development. As Checkmarx expands beyond traditional application security into AI-powered SDLC solutions, you'll help enterprises secure AI-generated code, automate vulnerability triage and remediation, and safely accelerate software development through agentic AI. You'll engage stakeholders across Security, Engineering, DevOps, and AI transformation teams, positioning Checkmarx as a strategic partner in their software development and security modernization initiatives. Your performance directly drives your paycheck, with uncapped earnings and accelerators that kick in early, so strong results are rewarded quickly. If you're a self-motivated enterprise seller who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and bringing innovative technologies to market, this role is your stage.

What You'll Do

  • Sell with value. Apply proven enterprise value-selling methodologies to connect Checkmarx solutions to measurable business outcomes, including risk reduction, developer productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the AI conversation. Position Checkmarx's expanding AI-powered SDLC portfolio, including agentic AI, automated vulnerability triage and remediation, AI-assisted development, and security for AI-generated code.
  • Become the expert. Develop a strong understanding of application security, DevSecOps, AI development workflows, and the evolving role of autonomous AI agents in software engineering.
  • Build pipeline. Prospect into strategic enterprise accounts, identify new buying centers, and create opportunities across cybersecurity, engineering, and AI transformation initiatives.
  • Expand strategic relationships. Grow existing enterprise accounts by introducing new capabilities, expanding platform adoption, and developing relationships beyond traditional security stakeholders.
  • Plan to win. Build comprehensive territory and account plans that identify key stakeholders, competitive displacement opportunities, and long-term expansion potential.
  • Lead discovery. Uncover business and technical challenges across the software development lifecycle, translating them into compelling solutions and measurable value.
  • Quarterback the team. Orchestrate Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management, and Executive Leadership to execute your account strategy.
  • Close with confidence. Develop compelling business cases, proposals, and commercial strategies that align with customer priorities and drive enterprise adoption.
  • Stay sharp. Maintain Salesforce hygiene, manage opportunities through MEDDPICC, and deliver accurate, disciplined forecasts.

Requirements The must-haves

  • A closer's track record. 5+ years of successful direct enterprise software sales experience, with demonstrated quota attainment and a history of closing complex, high-value transactions.
  • Territory-proven software wins. Experience developing enterprise relationships, generating pipeline, and winning new business within a defined geographic territory.
  • Technical curiosity and AI fluency. Strong interest in emerging AI technologies, with the ability to understand and articulate how AI, automation, and modern development tools deliver business value.
  • Executive-level selling. Experience navigating complex enterprise buying committees and engaging senior technology, security, and business leaders.
  • Methodology discipline. Experience with structured enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, or Command of the Message.
  • Tech-savvy by default. Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and modern sales productivity tools.
  • Education. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Road-ready. Willingness to travel as needed, primarily within the United States

Preferred

  • Experience selling Cybersecurity, Application Security (AppSec), DevSecOps, DevOps, Developer Tools, or AI-powered enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), or automated development and security workflows.
  • Understanding of modern software development environments, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native applications, and developer ecosystems.
  • Experience selling emerging technologies, launching new product categories, or expanding into new enterprise buying centers.
  • Experience working with startup, high-growth, or international technology companies.
  • Located within the TOLA region.

What we have to offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Uncapped earning potential with a 50/50 split between base and variable compensation
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and additional incentives.
  • Opportunity to sell innovative AI-powered cybersecurity and software development technologies.
  • Culture of community and opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization.
  • Room for career growth and professional development.
  • Ongoing technical training, sales enablement, and educational opportunities
