Full job description
First Horizon is seeking a Technical Analyst to join our ATM/Debit Card technology team. This unique position blends responsibilities as a Technical Analyst and Scrum Master, offering high growth potential and the opportunity to make a significant impact within the organization. Our ATM/Debit Card team manages multiple proprietary applications essential for the core processing of ATMs and debit cards, covering both card management and transaction processing.
The team plays a vital role supporting Corporate Security, Compliance, and Data Governance, working closely with technology, operations, and business partners to advance the key objectives of executive management. The position is instrumental in optimizing the management, maintenance, and utilization of our ATM and Debit Card portfolio.
We’re looking for a talented individual with an inquisitive mindset, who thrives in a technology-driven environment and actively champions innovation—from concept through implementation. This role includes oversight of external vendors integrating with our systems and requires proficiency in translating business needs into clear technical and functional requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze the broader business and organizational impacts of application technology decisions, recommending outcomes for high-impact initiatives

Work with Agile Product Owner to balance the demands and expectations of Line of Business (LOB) and Operations with internal capacity and roadmap commitments

Facilitate Scrum processes, act as a servant leader, remove team blockers, and coach cross-functional teams to drive continuous improving through the Agile framework

Contribute to overall application technology design including identifying key architectures, components and interfaces, data models, and information flows
-
Participate in issue identification and problem resolution, including supporting on-call team members

Address challenges related to system integration, platform compatibility, and multiple environments
-
Effectively manage multiple activities and projects concurrently
-
Assist in managing change requests in SNOW and working with Release Management team for approval
-
Assist with audit and regulatory requirements, providing accurate and timely information
-
Support both tactical and strategic objectives for the ATM/Debit team, IT Division, and broader FHB organization

Adhere to First Horizon Bank’s security practices
Required Qualifications:

Technical team experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments
-
Strategic planning abilities, effective collaboration, and relationship management across business, technology, and operations partners

Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills

High energy, proactive approach, and results-driven mentality. ‘Take charge’ and ‘Make it happen’ attitude

Ability to handle multiple priorities and initiatives, meeting both internal and external deadlines

Expertise in reviewing/evaluating work of peers for quality assurance and governance

Detail-oriented, capable of working independently or as part of a supervised team

Strong analytical and technical development skills

Client-focused, able to build and maintain trust and confidence with internal partners in servicing client needs

Knowledge in source control, change control, adherence to governance standards, SDLC, and application lifecycle management
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with IBM mainframe technologies, including VSAM and CICS processing

Experience with in-house ATM and Debit Card applications
-
Exposure to Fiserv/FirstData platforms
-
Experience with CV Systems

Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

Extensive background in software development spanning multiple platforms
