Full job description

Overview

Security represents the most critical priority for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all — reshaping security and empowering every user, customer, and developer with a security cloud that protects them with end-to-end, simplified solutions.

Identity and Network Access (IDNA) builds the foundational identity and access technologies that help secure Microsoft and customers around the world. Our organization delivers authentication, authorization, identity security, access governance, and zero-trust network access solutions, including Microsoft Entra. Operating at global scale, IDNA is focused on advancing secure access across users, devices, applications, and emerging AI experiences while helping shape the future of digital identity and trust.

We are now extending the IDNA organization to the age of AI. We are actively incorporating AI-driven capabilities to enhance threat detection, automate decision-making, and help organizations securely adopt emerging AI workloads, agents, and applications — ensuring safe access to AI services and protection of the sensitive data those AI systems use.

We are looking for a Principal and S enior Product Manage rs to join this team and help drive the product roadmap for securing AI. You will work in an early-stage problem space, partnering closely with customers, engineering, and cross-functional peers to turn hard security and AI challenges into differentiated product capabilities that ship fast and scale.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Own product vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for user onboarding and self-service management across Microsoft Entra and consumer accounts (MSA).

  • Lead specs through product review forums.

  • Influence without authority across product, engineering, security, business and partner teams.

  • Drive alignment, resolve priority and dependency tradeoffs, and reach shared outcomes.

  • Act as executive point of contact for strategic customers and partners.

  • Handle escalations, validate scenarios, gather feedback, and turn what you learn into roadmap priorities.

  • Define success metrics and track product performance.

  • Report status, decisions and impact to leadership through business reviews, key results (KRs) and executive summaries.

  • Drive go-to-market readiness and adoption with marketing, sales, documentation and support teams: announcements, blogs, FAQs, conference content and customer success.

  • Lead with AI in how the team works and what it ships.

  • Use AI for research, prototyping, spec writing and validation.

  • Build AI-driven efficiency tools and AI-driven customer-facing products.
