The School of Health and Social Services invites applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position, at the Assistant Professor level, in our CEPH accredited MPH Program. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (including in-person and online modes of delivery), conducting and disseminating original research, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, serving on Program and University committees, and ensuring that the Program continues to meet all external accreditation requirements.

This position is located within the School of Health and Social Services, which offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Child and Family Services, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Health Information Management, Health Sciences, Public Health, and Social Work. The School is an academic unit of the College of Health and Human Services, which is also home to the CAYA Advancing Research and Community Health (ARCH) Institute, which brings together the College's applied research centers, clinics, laboratories, faculty, staff, students, and community partners within a shared structure. Through this connected approach, CAYA ARCH Institute aligns expertise, ideas, and resources across disciplines to address health and community needs throughout the region and beyond.

Job Requirements:

  • Earned doctorate in epidemiology, or public health with an emphasis in epidemiology. (ABD candidates who have successfully defended their dissertation proposals will also be considered)

  • Experience with advanced forms of epidemiologic and biostatistical methods

  • Demonstrated research potential

  • Commitment to collaborative approaches with both academic and community professionals to advance public health through teaching, research, and service
