Description

Our Finance Team has a new full-time opening for an Accounting Assistant.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for performing various payroll responsibilities, including but not limited to, entering direct deposit, tax and garnishment information; communicate with staff and supervisors regarding payroll questions; working with other Finance office team members on data collection and distribution of information to outside entities including but not limited to, funding sources and vendors as well as distribution of materials to other agency staff. This position be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their work, maintaining confidentiality and setting the example of communicating respectfully and thoughtfully to peers, staff, individuals supported and outside vendors.

In addition, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of wage and hour inquiries for internal and external stakeholders

  • Maintenance of payroll records for cost report and all other internal and external reporting

  • Maintain integrity of the agency's confidential information.

  • Work collaboratively with HR Team members on any HR/Payroll systems policies and procedures as well as contributing to new processes to improve efficiency for all users.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday/day hours

STARTING SALARY: $ 17.73 to $ $ 20.66 per hour, based on relevant education and experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree; or 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar work-related setting.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels; ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficiency with using a computer including Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
