Full job description

ABOUT US Reframe Systems is a Physical AI and robotics company on a mission to make high-performance housing attainable and abundant in the communities where people want to live. Through our vertically integrated delivery model and highly automated microfactories, we deliver climate-resilient homes and buildings with greater speed and predictability than traditional construction.

Our volumetric modular buildings are produced in our Andover, MA microfactory, with a growing pipeline across North America and a new microfactory on the way. We are building a system that balances repeatability with site-responsive design, enabling homes adaptable to each site, community, and customer need. Our cross-disciplinary team brings together architecture, robotics, design engineering, software, factory operations, and field delivery to change how housing gets delivered.

We’re reimagining the future of housing through a smarter and more sustainable system that empowers people to live better. Come build it with us.

THE ROLE As our Financial Analyst, you will serve as a core engine for Reframe’s FP&A, operational finance, and strategic planning. You won't just be tracking numbers—you will help define the unit economics of our modular microfactories, track Bill of Materials (BOM) cost reductions, and build financial visibility as we scale from 1 → 10.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a data-driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced hardware/manufacturing startup environment.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN 1. FP&A & Corporate Financial Modeling

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting: Own and maintain the company’s 3-statement financial model, rolling forecasts, and annual budgeting process.

  • Variance Analysis: Track monthly and quarterly actuals vs. budget (BvA), analyzing key drivers behind revenue, operating expenses, and capex.

  • Executive & Board Reporting: Prepare financial packages, dashboards, and strategic decks for leadership and board meetings.

  1. Factory Ops & Unit Economics
  • Cost Accounting & BOM Analysis: Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering to model Bill of Materials (BOM) costs, direct labor rates, and factory overhead absorption.

  • Microfactory Unit Economics: Help analyze and refine the business model for individual microfactories (payback periods, throughput capacity, asset utilization, and gross margin optimization).

  • Capital Allocation: Build ROI models for factory equipment purchases, robotics automation investments, and facility expansion (e.g., FAB1).

  1. Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership
  • Departmental Support: Work closely with leaders in Engineering, Software, Factory Operations, and Talent to align headcount planning and operational spend with overall cash runway.

  • Systems & Processes: Help define, select, and implement finance and accounting tooling (ERP integration, spend management, and automated financial reporting).

QULAIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or startup financial operations.

  • Industry Context: Direct experience or strong familiarity with hardware, manufacturing, robotics, automotive/aerospace, or construction/real estate development finance.

  • Modeling Mastery: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with a proven track record of building dynamic, scalable 3-statement models from scratch.

  • Cost & Operational Acumen: Ability to translate physical operations (BOMs, inventory turns, labor hours, factory throughput) into clear financial metrics and unit economics.

  • Technical & Systems Aptitude: Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems, modern BI/reporting tools, and spend management platforms.

  • Startup Mindset: Scrappy, self-directed, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving physical tech environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a quantitative field.

  • Experience supporting a hardware or manufacturing company through rapid multi-site scaling.

  • Background working with inventory management, ERP implementation, or supply chain cost-down initiatives.

If you believe you have the skills to thrive in this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you don't meet 100% of the listed requirements. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
