Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and direction of administrative activities within the hospital and in the delivery of nursing care services.

  • Continually monitors and reviews work performance of staff and makes nursing management aware of performance issues. Facilitates counseling process as directed and provides input into the performance appraisal process.

  • Assesses and analyzes cost effective utilization of hospital resources and makes or recommends changes as needed.

  • Intervenes in staffing and scheduling changes to maintain optimal staffing levels.

  • Effectively functions as a resource to nursing personnel for problem identification and resolution.

  • Assists in the implementation of Performance Improvement Plans initiated by the Nursing Department.

  • Continuously ensures that patients’ rights are upheld by staff.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • BSN required; Master's preferred.

  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in the acute care setting.

  • Minimum of 2 -3 years charge/management experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Licensed and currently registered in NYS to practice as a Registered Nurse.

  • BLS required.

  • This position is responsible for supervision, coordination and ensuring quality care is delivered on all units during a specific shift.

Salary Range

USD $66.51 - USD $66.51 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
