Full job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for aTrainerto join a leading Company located in theWhittier, CAsurrounding area.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and effective public speaker who is organized and able to communicate information effectively to students in a classroom or auditorium setting. Will conduct training sessions to setup and breakdown leads and operators related to supporting election activities performed in support of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office (RR/CC).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtains, organizes, or develops training class materials such as presentations, study guides, and other handouts or visual materials.

  • Prepares audio/visual equipment for training

  • Test and review created materials

  • Ensures compliance with all security and safety standards to include current COVID-19 safety guidelines

  • Work with manpower providers and management to ensure the correct students attend each training class

  • Conducts training in classroom and auditorium settings using both hands-on and PowerPoint presentation formats

  • Monitors, evaluates, and records training activities for each class and student as well as overall program effectiveness

  • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership daily and suggest needed adjustments or improvements

  • Communicate training needs and other resources that may be required

  • Review student performance and perceived ability and understanding to make recommendations to management for lead selection

  • Conduct student surveys and interviews

  • Delivers, sets up and breaks down training materials and related equipment

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field OR equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a trainer or delivering presentations to internal or external audiences

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions

Pay rate: $33.50
