RN Supervisor

RN Supervisor Salaried: $83,200 - $91,520 annually (depending on experience) Hourly equivalent: $40-$44/hour Sign-on Bonus: Up to $7,500 Shift: Full-Time Schedule: 3 pm -11 pm or 11 pm -7 am

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an RN Supervisor to its nursing leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee nursing operations during your assigned shift, ensuring residents receive high-quality care while supporting staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe and positive environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts

• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately

• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families

• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services

• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience

• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed

• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements

• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues

• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights

• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
