We are seeking a Director-in-Trainingfor ourMetro Northmarket. This role is ideal for someone with early leadership or program management experience who is passionate about human services and eager to grow into a Director-level role through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

About the Director-in-Training Role

This is a developmental leadership position designed to prepare you for a future Director role. This role is best suited for someone who is energized by mission-driven work and genuinely motivated by supporting people with diverse abilities.

What You’ll Learn and Do

With support and structured training, you will:

  • Support the leadership and development of a team

  • Work directly in the community building relationships with employers and partners

  • Engage with individuals we serve to support their personal and employment goals

  • Participate in outreach with community agencies and funding sources

  • Learn how to measure outcomes, track progress, and contribute to market goals

  • Gain exposure to budgeting, market growth, and operational decision-making

  • Experience as a team lead, supervisor, program manager, or similar role

  • Comfort working in the community and juggling multiple priorities

  • Well versed using technology and systems to stay organized

  • A clear sense of purpose and excitement about helping others achieve success

  • Valid driver’s license, comfortable using your vehicle to travel within your local community (mileage reimbursement provided) and transporting clients
