💡 APPLY HERE About the role We’re looking for a senior data scientist to build & improve Defacto’s risk models. Defacto is changing the way lenders approach financing by leveraging real time data & multiple sources. This person will be responsible for improving the risk models, harmonizing multiple data sources & co-building the risk / fraud strategy with Dany & Othmane As we embed Defacto directly within partner’s interfaces, we have some very exciting challenges (and opportunities) such as gathering the right data, providing answer in seconds & understanding the end-user. We are looking for someone full stack (data & eng) willing to learn and work in a challenging environment. This person will work with Dany & Othmane and more globally across our supply & distribution teams. This role will be key in growing & strengthening one of the 3 pillars at Defacto. How you’ll make an impact? You will help more businesses have access to easy financing by creating new ways of credit scoring on data never leveraged in the past. You will own both the algorithms making the decisions as well as the platform serving them. You will work with and impact many stakeholders, bridging the gap between our debt investors and our end-users. Some example of jobs to be done 🎣 Propose and integrate new data sources to our existing algorithms (both ingestion of the data as well as adapting the algorithm). 🧠 Improve our current algorithms (time series forecasting, adapt to input data drifting, …) 🏴‍☠️ Build a system for both automatic and manual fraud detection 🎁 Anything you think will make our platform better! What we’d love to see Strong business sense Experience across data & software engineering roles 5years+ of experience as a data scientist. Fluent with the standard data-science suite: python, scikit, numpy, pandas, sklearn, jupyter, SQL. Experience building 3rd party API and its maintenance for data enrichment Experience in full end-to-end ML pipeline: training, training, testing, deploying and monitoring ML-model Good mix of first principle thinking and operational excellence French & English required
