Full job description

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available. Provide didactic (lecture), laboratory, and/or clinical instruction in assigned courses. Evaluate student knowledge and clinical competencies through written, practical, and clinical assessments. Maintain accurate student records and grading. Support curriculum quality and program goals through continuous assessment and improvement. Model professional, ethical, and safe clinical practice in both classroom and clinical settings. Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.

An associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology is required. Candidates must possess a current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential, a minimum of one (1) year of outpatient or inpatient clinical work and/or preceptor experience, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation for travel to clinical sites, and the ability and willingness to learn and utilize Trajecsys software systems. Candidates must also be able to stand, walk, bend, and observe students in clinical environments for extended periods. These are temporary, part-time positions.
