Position Summary
The Service Technician Intern is designed for students currently enrolled in a diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or industrial maintenance program. Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Service Technicians while applying classroom knowledge in a real-world environment. This internship is intended to develop future Service Apprentices and full-time Service Technicians at Time Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting. Perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance. Assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing. Support parts inventory, staging, and material movement. Complete assigned safety and technical training. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain accurate service documentation and work orders. Participate in mentoring and development activities. Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college pursuing a degree or certificate in: Diesel Technology Heavy Equipment Technology Automotive Technology Industrial Maintenance Mechatronics or related field Minimum GPA of 2.5 (optional) Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school breaks (if applicable) Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment Preferred
Completion of first year of technical program Basic hydraulic, electrical, or welding coursework Experience using hand and power tools OSHA 10 certification Learning Objectives
Interns will develop skills in:
