Full job description

About the role

Azora is looking for an energetic, highly resourceful person to help keep a fast-growing company organized and moving.

This is a broad, in-person role spanning executive support, purchasing, travel, office organization, team logistics, recruiting coordination, and basic people operations. You will become the person the team relies on to solve practical problems quickly, coordinate the details behind important work, and make sure nothing gets lost between people, vendors, systems, and deadlines.

The right person thrives around people and activity. You enjoy tracking down hard-to-find equipment, untangling difficult travel schedules, organizing a busy office, helping new employees get started, and handling unexpected problems without waiting for someone to create a process first.

This is not a narrow administrative role or a predictable list of recurring tasks. Azora is growing quickly, and the work will change with it. There is substantial room to take on broader ownership of company operations as the team expands.

What you’ll do

  • Provide executive and team support, including scheduling, calendar management, domestic and international travel coordination for employees, candidates, and company visitors, and organizing team events, dinners, off-sites, and meeting logistics

  • Keep the office organized, functional, stocked, and ready for employees, customers, and visitors.

  • Own company purchasing, including office supplies, equipment, shipping, vendor coordination, and expense documentation.

  • Coordinate interviews and support employee onboarding and offboarding, working with Azora’s PEO and external providers on payroll, benefits, documentation, and account setup.

  • Help employees resolve routine operational questions and connect them with the right internal or external resource.

  • Maintain company records, subscriptions, vendor information, insurance documents, and recurring administrative deadlines.

  • Proactively keep CRM updated, maintaining up-to-date data on key contacts

  • Track open operational tasks and follow up persistently until they are completed.

  • Improve and document internal systems for purchasing, travel, onboarding, document management, and office operations as company scales

  • Take ownership of special projects and unexpected problems that do not fit neatly within another person’s role.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in company operations, office management, hospitality, recruiting coordination, executive administration, or a similarly demanding role.

  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage many changing priorities without losing track of commitments.

  • Resourcefulness and comfort completing unfamiliar tasks with limited direction.

  • Strong judgment regarding urgency, confidentiality, cost, and when to escalate.

  • Comfortable working in person and supporting a team that moves quickly.

  • Able to interact naturally and professionally with engineers, candidates, vendors, customers, and external partners.

  • Proficiency with modern productivity, travel, purchasing, and communication tools.

Preferred

  • Experience with purchasing – especially of highly technical equipment.

  • Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing company.

  • Experience with vendor management, employee onboarding, or office operations.

  • Experience coordinating complex travel and company events.

  • Interest in growing into broader responsibility for company operations.

  • A genuine enjoyment of ambitious environments, unusual requests, and problems that initially appear impossible.

Location & arrangement

This is a full-time, in-person role based in the Bay Area. Some travel may be required.

Benefits:

  • Generous equity

  • Competitive healthcare (including options for vision and dental)

  • 401(k)

  • Unlimited PTO

EEO & Reasonable Accommodations

  • Azora is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

  • If you need a reasonable accommodation as part of your application for employment or interviews with us, please let us know by contacting [email protected]

Export Control
