Salary Range: $19.83 To $20.82 Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Biller is responsible for performing various billing functions within the Epic system including processing of claims, reviewing payments, claim adjustments, and review of all denials while working closely with patients, front desk staff and insurance carriers to ensure optimal submission and payment for all billable visits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent and three years Medical Billing in a health care environment, preferably in EPIC, required. A dditional education or certification, in healthcare/medical billing field and o ne year of experience of CPT and ICD-10 Coding is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, certification, training or experience is acceptable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle objects; controls, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
