Staff Development Infection Control Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Staff Development Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Bear Mountain at Sudbury. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of quality patient care and infection control practices throughout our facility. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective infection control practices across all departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Provide educational training and resources to staff members on infection control principles, proper hand hygiene practices, and other related topics

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in infection control practices and develop corrective action plans as needed

  • Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies and procedures

  • Identify and address gaps in staff knowledge and skills related to infection control, and develop targeted training programs to improve competencies

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects to enhance patient safety and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a LPN/RN Nurse

  • Strong understanding of infection control principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage staff members

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address gaps in infection control practices
