Job Summary :

Primarily responsible for coordinating and reviewing pre-employment health screenings for newly hired employees and annual health requirements for all current employees to include notification and follow-up where indicated. Maintains and updates health records for all hospital employees as needed and no less than annually. Process family medical leave, workers' compensation, and short- and long-term disability requests.

Education :

Position requires an associate's degree (A.A) or diploma program or 2-3 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.

Registration/Certification/Licensure :
-
Registered Nurse - State of Maryland

Experience :
-
Position requires 2-3 years related experience. Experience with the Family and Medical Leave Act, Workers' Compensation, and employee health preferred.

Other Requirements :
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with all population groups and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

Effectively advocates for employee safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, use of Microsoft Office products and other system applications as directed.

Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.

Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
