Best AI Mock Interview Tools of 2026, Free and Paid

A rehearsal, a course, live help in the real interview and human coaching all get sold under this one name.

By Olive Jobs, which makes one of the tools here · Last checked November 3, 2026

We make Olive, so weigh this accordingly. "AI mock interview" now covers four different products: a rehearsal, a course, live help during the real interview, and human coaching with AI on the side. Work out which of those you need first, because the best one for coding rounds is no help for a nursing interview, and Olive doesn't do coding at all.

Prices are as of November 2026 and link to each company's page, and the order isn't a ranking. User counts and similar figures are the vendors' own.

If you want reps for a specific job

Several tools now build practice from the job you're after. Jobscan works from your job description and CV, by video or audio. It's sold as an add-on to its subscription, so it makes most sense if you already use Jobscan. Big Interview's PracticeAI can start from your résumé or a job description, in a voice-only format. Simplify says its AI interviewer adapts to the job, company and industry, free and with no session limit. Indeed's Career Scout gives role-specific practice, and it's the first thing to try if you won't pay anything and already use Indeed. LinkedIn's AI interview prep works from a job post, on Premium.

Olive is built for this too. You give it a posting, a description you paste or a role you name, and it interviews you out loud, in your browser or the phone app. Each answer gets a score and feedback, behavioral ones get STAR analysis, and you finish on a scored review. It also knows your résumé if you've built one here. It doesn't film you, it won't run a coding round and it won't help in the real interview.

Google's career pages also point to Gemini Live for a real-time spoken mock interview, which is worth knowing if you already use it.

If you want to be taught

Big Interview is the clear pick on this list. It has 170 video lessons across 12 categories, and you practice afterward, on camera or by voice. If you've never interviewed, start with something like this or read a guide first. Ours on the STAR method and preparing for an interview are free. Olive Jobs vs Big Interview has the fuller comparison.

If you're worried about how you come across

If it's filler words and pace that worry you, look at the tools that report on them. Jobscan's add-on lists pace, filler words and pauses in its feedback. Yoodli runs roleplays on video, with example feedback on tone and pace, and a free plan of 5 lifetime sessions. Its $8 and $20 monthly plans are billed annually, and its home page is aimed largely at sales and onboarding teams, with interview prep named on its pricing page. Olive measures delivery from your audio too, as a preview that doesn't change your score yet, but content is where its feedback is strongest.

If you're interviewing for a technical role

Olive isn't the tool for this. Its questions are behavioral, role-specific and company-fit, so a software engineer can practice the conversation and not the code. Aced, formerly Exponent, offers courses, peer mock interviews and senior coaches across software engineering, product management, data science, machine learning and more. Final Round AI lists coding and system design among eight practice scenarios. Our tech interview tips cover what to expect.

If you want help during the real interview

That's Final Round AI's Interview CoPilot, which shows suggested answers in a private window, and it needs its paid plan. It's a different product from everything else on this page, and from Olive. Olive Jobs vs Final Round AI goes through that difference.

Where Olive isn't the answer

  • Coding and system design rounds.
  • Video, body language and how you look on camera.
  • Help during the real interview.
  • Learning how to interview from scratch through a structured course.

And where it is: you have a job in mind, you'd rather try it than watch it, and you want the same place to tailor the résumé for it. How Olive works covers the rest, and our guide on AI mock interview practice covers how to get real value from any of these.

Quick answers

What is the best free AI mock interview tool?

Simplify says its AI interviewer is free with no session limit. Indeed describes its Career Scout mock interviews as free. Yoodli's free plan includes a set number of lifetime sessions. Olive Jobs includes practice interviews in a free account, built from a real posting, with limits.

Which AI mock interview tool is best for coding interviews?

Not Olive Jobs: it has no coding or system design rounds. Final Round AI lists coding and system design practice, and Aced, formerly Exponent, offers courses, peer mock interviews and coaching aimed at technical and product roles.

Is a mock interview tool the same as an interview copilot?

No. A mock interview tool is practice before the real thing. A copilot such as Final Round AI's gives suggested answers during the real interview. Olive Jobs only does the first.
