Full job description

Company Overview Construction is one of the largest industries in the U.S., but also one of the least technologically advanced. Every year, firms spend over $60B on teams creating cost estimates for bids. The process relies on tedious "takeoffs"—manually measuring and counting materials from drawings. Bobyard automates takeoffs using computer vision and NLP, cutting estimate time significantly while reducing errors. We're a small team backed by Primary, Pear, and 8VC, building software for the construction industry.

Position Overview Our AE team closes full-cycle mid-market deals with contractors, and has grown to the point where adding to our sales leadership team is crucial for scale. We're hiring an additional Sales Manager to coach 1 of 4 pods, stay close enough to live deals to shape strategy, and build the forecasting and pipeline discipline that scales past a founder-led motion. You'll inherit a team already converting 50% of qualified pipeline to close — your job is to protect that number while you continue to develop the team.

Responsibilities

  • Run a weekly coaching cadence — structured 1:1s, call reviews, and pipeline reviews — for a pod of Account Executives

  • Jump into live deals to shape strategy and support negotiation on anything that needs a second seat

  • Own team forecast accuracy and pipeline hygiene, and build the data-driven territory and pipeline models that inform it

  • Hire and ramp new AEs, and build the playbook that makes ramping repeatable

  • Coach reps on cold-outbound pipeline generation — this team builds its own pipeline, it doesn't wait on inbound

  • Partner with Customer Success on handoff quality and with Product on what contractors are actually asking for

  • Run sales operations analysis on what's working and what isn't, and change the motion based on what you find

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, with a documented track record of 100%+ quota attainment as an individual contributor

  • 2+ years managing a team of quota-carrying Account Executives

  • Real comfort coaching cold-outbound pipeline generation — not just managing reps who work inbound leads

  • A specific, articulable coaching philosophy — you can walk us through how you run a 1:1 and a forecast conversation

  • Fluency in Salesforce and forecasting discipline — you call your number and you know why when you don't

  • Comfort selling into or coaching sales to a technical, operational buyer

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into construction, field services, or another vertical with a skeptical, ROI-driven buyer

  • Experience hiring and ramping a team from scratch, not inheriting one already built

  • Familiarity with a structured sales methodology

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($265K–$290K), 401K, and equity options

  • A team already converting well — closed-won revenue doubled from July to August, so you're building on a real motion, not starting from zero

  • The chance to help build what we intend to be the fastest-growing vertical SaaS startup ever
