About the job
Ad fraud is one of the biggest challenges facing the digital advertising industry spanning across many surfaces (web, app, video). AdSpam's mission is to protect our advertisers, users, publishers, and Google against fraud and abuse. We strive to prevent the abuse of Google’s ad systems for monetary/other purposes, and collaborate with the broader industry to fight ad fraud also beyond Google.
AdSpam’s Video and Emerging Inventory teams are responsible for defending Google’s Video ads businesses across YouTube, Ad Manager (GAM), and Google Marketing Platform, including strategic growth areas of ConnectedTV, Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH), and others. Video formats and inventory are an increasingly important area of growth, while also an enticing target for abuse given the high CPMs they command and supply path fragmentation present across third-party inventory. While the challenge is great, we see tremendous opportunity to leverage new technologies and approaches to deliver industry-leading protections to our advertisers and users, enable our publisher partners to build sustainable businesses, and more generally defend the core of Google’s ads business throughout this transformational period.
As a Product Manager on the AdSpam team, you will partner with a broad range of stakeholders across Ads, Trust and Safety, and Product Areas to craft product principles, identify/refine technology requirements, and drive alignment around long-term anti-fraud solutions. You will work to protect advertisers, publishers, and users of Google’s ads business generation products from ad fraud and abuse.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
