Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a top reinsurance client to help build a next-generation, AI-powered underwriting platform. This individual will serve as a technical lead while remaining highly hands-on, responsible for designing and developing full stack applications that streamline insurance submission intake, analytics, and underwriting workflows. The role will support a small engineering pod, partner directly with product and business stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping the platform's architecture and future AI capabilities
Skills and Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong React & TypeScript experience
- Strong Python backend development experience
- Full stack application development experience
- AI/LLM development experience (Claude, Gemini, etc.)
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders
- Experience leading technical discussions, architecture, and mentoring developers
- Agile development experience
- Experience building agents, RAG solutions, or AI-powered workflows
- AWS or Azure experience
- Insurance/Reinsurance industry background
