Full job description

We are building a candidate pool of qualified Human Services professionals in and around the Tallahassee, Florida area to support potential disaster response and recovery operations for Hurricane Isaias. Opportunities may support disaster-affected individuals and communities through sheltering, case management, survivor assistance, resource coordination, and other human services activities. Specific positions, assignments, and start dates will vary based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support disaster survivors and individuals affected by emergencies.

  • Provide information, referrals, and assistance with available resources and services.

  • Assist with intake, case management, documentation, and follow-up activities.

  • Coordinate with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Support sheltering, recovery, or other human services operations as assigned.

  • Perform other duties consistent with the position and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in human services, social services, case management, emergency management, disaster response, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in high-pressure environments.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel within the assigned area as project needs require.
