Entry-Level Litigation Attorney

A well-established and growing California plaintiffs’ firm is seeking a newly barred or junior Associate Attorney interested in developing a career in plaintiff-side advocacy. Responsibilities:

• Assist with and ultimately manage workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution, with responsibility increasing based on experience

• Represent injured workers and public safety professionals in hearings, conferences, and trial proceedings

• Draft motions, briefs, correspondence, and other case-related filings

• Conduct discovery, analyze evidence, and assist in developing case and litigation strategy

• Communicate directly with clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the legal process

• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, hearings, negotiations, and client representation

• Develop practical litigation, negotiation, and case-management skills through hands-on experience and mentorship

• Build strong relationships with clients and referral sources through responsive and compassionate communication

Requirements

• Active membership in the California Bar.

• At least 1 year of attorney experience preferred; newly licensed attorneys with strong relevant skills will also be considered.

• Background in plaintiff-side litigation or workers' compensation practice is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated strength in legal writing, including drafting motions, briefs, and related advocacy materials.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals facing difficult circumstances.

• Experience handling litigation tasks such as discovery, hearings, and case preparation is preferred.

• Detail-oriented, outgoing demeanor with the ability to work well in a collaborative team setting and support long-term client relationships.
