Description

Griffin Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to join our Spiritual Care and Education Department. The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate, interfaith approach to spiritual care for our diverse patient and staff community and contribute meaningfully to our mission of person-centered care.

Main Function:

The Chaplain will provide Interfaith spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across the hospital under the guidance of the Director of Spiritual Care and Education. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct spiritual support in a professional and compassionate manner.

  • Leading and facilitating spirituality and support groups, as well as additional programming as assigned.

  • Supporting community outreach, program development, and building partnerships within and beyond Griffin Health.

  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.

  • Performing both in-hospital and on-call chaplaincy shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Offering clerical support and demonstrating computer literacy for administrative responsibilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.

  • Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred (other relevant experience will be considered).

Experience:

  • Experience in Emergency Department chaplaincy and in diversity & inclusion work is strongly preferred.

  • Must have experience in:

  • Crisis Ministry

  • Interfaith Chaplaincy

  • Facilitating support and spirituality groups

  • Flexibility and willingness to serve in a per diem/on-call capacity, including weekends.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
