Tax Accountant

Description

We are looking for a Tax Accountant to support individuals with accurate and timely income tax filing. This position is ideal for someone who is confident interpreting personal tax information, preparing returns, and guiding clients through the filing process with professionalism. The role requires strong technical knowledge, careful review practices, and the ability to work efficiently during busy tax periods.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns while ensuring compliance with current federal and state tax regulations.

• Gather, organize, and evaluate client financial documents to complete filings accurately and on schedule.

• Communicate with clients to clarify tax information, resolve discrepancies, and explain filing outcomes in a clear manner.

• Identify applicable deductions, credits, and tax positions based on each client's financial situation.

• Use Lacerte Tax Software to complete return preparation, perform calculations, and maintain organized tax records.

• Monitor deadlines and manage multiple client engagements effectively during peak filing periods.

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and follow high standards in all client interactions.

Requirements • Experience preparing individual tax returns in a tax, accounting, or consulting environment.

• Strong working knowledge of individual income tax principles, forms, and filing requirements.

• Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software or similar tax preparation platforms.

• Ability to review financial information carefully and detect errors or missing documentation.

• Effective communication skills for working directly with clients and explaining tax-related matters.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
