Full job description

About Roon At Roon, our work began on the patient side. Our team has shipped apps for more than 40 health conditions serving millions of people worldwide. This experience showed us how powerful the right digital tools can be for improving care. It also revealed how much physicians need better support in their own workflows and professional lives. Roon is now building the digital home for physicians - a trusted community platform where doctors connect, collaborate, and advance clinical knowledge together. Our team combines deep expertise in tech and health with support from world-class investors including Firstmark, Forerunner, Sequoia, TMV, and SV Angel. About the Role We are looking for residents and fellows to help shape the conversation on Roon within their specialty. As a Roon Fellow, you would serve as the editorial voice for your field, helping guide which conversations are worth starting and which topics are worth surfacing. That could include a clinical debate, an interesting case, a recent paper, a practice question, or a discussion emerging from a recent conference or guideline update. Fellows also meet regularly with the Roon team. In these meetings, we share what we are working on, the decisions we are weighing, and where we would like your input. It is a candid look at how a small health tech company operates, and your feedback goes directly to the people making product and growth decisions. What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the editorial voice for your specialty on Roon, shaping what is posted and how it is framed

  • Surface topics, trends, and open questions in your field that are worth bringing to the platform

  • Participate in Fellows meetings with the Roon team and offer your perspective on what we are building

  • Share honest feedback on the Roon experience and what would make it more valuable to physicians

  • We anticipate time commitment to be ~1 hour/week across product feedback and platform engagement, in addition to 1 group meeting per month. Cadence and format are flexible, and we will work with you to find a rhythm that fits your schedule. What You’ll Gain We want the Roon Fellowship to be more than a role on the platform. It is an opportunity to help build something from the ground up, alongside physicians across the country who care deeply about the future of medicine. As a Roon Fellow, you’ll get:

  • Equity in Roon. Fellows will have the opportunity to earn equity in the company, giving you a real stake in what we are building together.

  • A front-row seat to building a digital health company. You’ll get an inside look at how an early-stage health tech company gets built—from product and growth to the decisions, experiments, and tradeoffs that happen along the way.

  • A national network of peers across specialties. You’ll join a cohort of residents and fellows from institutions across the country, creating relationships with physicians you likely would not otherwise meet during training.

  • Access to leaders in your field. Through Roon, you’ll have opportunities to connect with leading physicians and experts in your specialty and beyond.

  • A chance to shape Roon for your specialty. Your input will directly influence how Roon serves physicians in your field—what gets built, which conversations are prioritized, and how your specialty develops on the platform.

  • Our goal is for you to finish the Fellowship having helped build something meaningful, formed relationships with an exceptional group of physicians, and gained a perspective on medicine, technology, and company-building that is hard to get anywhere else. Apply

  • Email [email protected] with a short note about you and why you are interested in this role
