Job Summary and Qualifications
A Lead Paramedic or Lead Paramedic ED Transport acts as a senior clinician and team lead who manages emergency medical care, coordinates inter-facility transport operations, and provides advanced life support.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations: Plan, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and manage EMS transport or emergency department (ED) transport teams and daily operations. Ensure compliance with state statutes and administrative rules.

Patient Care: Evaluate patient conditions, establish treatment plans, and perform advanced, invasive medical procedures under adverse conditions.

Transport: Operate emergency medical vehicles safely, monitor patients to keep them stable during transport, and communicate patient data to receiving medical staff.

Collaboration: Partner with police, firefighters, and other medical personnel at emergency scenes.
Requirements & Qualifications

Certification: Valid State Paramedic Certification and Certified Paramedic credentials. Driver's license.

Education: Certificate or Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Requires 3 years of related experience.

Life Support Cards: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is typically required or must be obtained shortly after hiring.

Additional Training: Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) certificate and FEMA NIMS coursework (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800) are commonly required or preferred.

Driving Record: Must meet company driving standards, be at least 21 years old for certain transport roles, and provide a clean 7-year motor vehicle
