Full job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst II to provide hands-on technology support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position combines advanced end-user support, infrastructure administration, plant-floor technology support, and small-scale project leadership. The ideal candidate is a strong technical troubleshooter who can independently resolve complex issues, identify root causes, improve system reliability, and work closely with production teams, site leadership, corporate IT, and external vendors. This is a hands-on, site-based IT role supporting both traditional business technology and technology used throughout manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide Tier II technical support for PCs, Windows environments, Microsoft 365, printers, RF devices, handheld equipment, labeling systems, and related hardware.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.

  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring problems and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.

  • Maintain accurate service tickets, technical documentation, change records, and knowledge-base materials.

  • Support users across both office and manufacturing environments.

Infrastructure & Systems Administration:

  • Support Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and basic Group Policy administration.
  • Work with SCCM / endpoint management tools for software deployments, device management, and system updates.
  • Perform Windows imaging, workstation deployments, hardware replacements, and user profile migrations.
  • Support print services, network-connected equipment, and manufacturing-floor devices.
  • Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN and wireless connectivity issues and coordinate more complex escalations with infrastructure teams.
  • Assist with backup verification, system recovery, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure health checks.

Manufacturing & Plant Technology:

  • Provide hands-on support for technology used within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Troubleshoot shop-floor computers, RF equipment, scanners, handheld devices, label printers, and integrated production technology.
  • Support manufacturing and operational systems according to established procedures and standards.
  • Document system dependencies, recovery procedures, common failure points, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Work directly with operations and production teams to minimize technology-related downtime.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead smaller IT projects from planning through implementation and completion.
  • Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, vendors, communications, and project risks.
  • Support hardware/software refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, system deployments, and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve standardization, system reliability, first-time-fix rates, and overall support efficiency.
  • Develop technical procedures, job aids, and site support documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous IT support experience within manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or distribution environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, endpoint management, device deployment, and print services.
  • Experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, scanners, RF devices, handheld equipment, and network-connected devices.
  • Working knowledge of basic LAN/WAN networking and wireless troubleshooting.
