Description
The College of Business at Stony Brook University is seeking applicants for an Assistant professor position in Finance. This is a full-time appointment in the College’s Finance area. The position starts on September 1, 2027. Salary, teaching load, and research support are commensurate with qualifications, academic record, and experience. Candidates in all areas of
finance are encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome research that explores applications of artificial intelligence in Finance.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Finance or a related field by the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate strong potential to produce high-quality research publishable in leading finance journals, particularly those included in the Financial Times 50 (FT50) list. We welcome candidates from all areas of finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research synergy with our finance faculty in the areas of corporate finance, investments, behavioral finance, international finance, banking, and quantitative finance. Evidence of excellent research productivity by a portfolio of publications in the highest quality finance journals.
