This position is contingent upon award of contract
SOSi is seeking an HR Support Technician who's ready to be the backbone of our HR operations! The Human Resources Support Technician delivers comprehensive HR services, including benefits guidance, leave policy administration, awards processing, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with civilian and military regulations. You'll own personnel records management, regulatory compliance, administrative support, leadership briefings, and program improvement—basically, you'll be the person who keeps everything running smoothly.
Essential Job Duties

Be the go-to expert on all things personnel management and administrative guidance

Develop SOPs and Policies that actually make sense

Prepare briefings for command leadership that wow the room

Keep the wheels turning on all personnel actions for the unit—promotions, transfers, leaves, separations, and reassignments

Partner with SOCOM J1 to coordinate all personnel actions and awards

Champion the unit's awards and decorations program by processing recommendations, preparing certificates, and publishing official orders

Own the unit's performance evaluation system, tracking suspense dates and ensuring timely, accurate submissions

Maintain personnel readiness and strength reports for the commander, tracking all arrivals, departures, and duty statuses

Rock the role of the unit's point of contact for casualty reporting and survivor assistance procedures

Draft, proofread, and process all official correspondence (memos, letters, policies) for the commander's signature with precision and compliance

Publish, post, and disseminate all official orders, directives, and announcements to keep the command in the loop

Serve as the records manager extraordinaire, ensuring proper filing and maintenance of official documents

Plan, coordinate, and direct all official unit ceremonies—changes of command, activations, awards ceremonies, and retirements—making them memorable

Write and review scripts, sequence of events, and talking points for all formal events

Be the unit's military protocol expert, advising the commander and staff on proper etiquette for official functions
Qualifications
-
Active in scope TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Master’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent or Bachelor’s degree with an additional 5 years of related senior experience (total 17 years).

Minimum 12 years of experience in Human Resources
-
At least 2 of the last 12 years of experience providing support to USSOCOM at the O-6 or higher-level command.

Must have effective interpersonal communications skills to present complex reports to senior military officials.

Experience in managing Defense Travel System (DTS) at various levels.
