Expedient continues to grow in the West and is seeking an Area Vice President (AVP) of Sales to lead our Dallas-Fort Worth sales market.
To be considered, you must live in or near the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Area Vice President is a highly visible, coach/player role.
The AVP focuses primarily on and executes against the region's revenue objectives. This is a great opportunity for someone with sales leadership experience in a related IT services, cloud and/or infrastructure-as-a-service business.
A successful AVP should possess sound business acumen, technical aptitude, an existing network of contacts in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, and sales leadership experience that will be vital to sales team success in Dallas-Fort Worth and Texas.
Expedient has had a channel and market presence in Texas for many years. Due to increased demand for our services and existing success in booked revenue, Expedient is expanding in with a buildout of a full sales team (channel rep, account executives, solutions architect, and leader). This will be Expedient’s 6th market expansion in the last 5 years.
You will lead and hire a team of consultative sales professionals, coordinate with internal Expedient support resources, and establish and execute on the sales strategy for the Texas market.
Requirements:

8+ years of successful IT solutions-based sales experience in cloud, data center infrastructure, and/or managed services in the Dallas-Fort Worth area

5+ years of a proven track record in successfully leading sales teams

Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related discipline is highly preferred
-
Established contacts and existing business relationships in the Phoenix market

Proven experience in complex sales solutions.

Solid experience in forecasting sales on a monthly/quarterly basis with a high degree of accuracy, and developing a sales team’s overall go-to-market strategy

Understands and applies outcomes-based selling and can develop the sales team accordingly

Strong understanding of pipeline and sales funnel management disciplines

Effective communication and presentation skills
-
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Excellent relationships with customers and partners in the Dallas-Fort Worth market
What You'll Do:
-
Attract, hire, educate, coach, motivate and retain consistently high-performing sales professionals

Develop and consistently maintain a bench of qualified sales professionals

Develop strategic performance plans for each team member and provide ongoing support to assist them in achieving their respective targets

Collaborate with marketing and other functional teams in the planning and execution of account development strategies to increase sales

Provide accurate sales forecasting, planning and budgeting on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
Compensation: Salary for this position is commensurate with experience. OTE at plan is approximately $275k to $325k annually. Compensation package includes a competitive base salary + variable compensation and a generous employee benefit package.
Location: M ust live in or near the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Area Vice President is a highly visible, coach/player role. Remote role requiring travel to other Expedient markets as needed for collaboration and training.
