Job Description:
Adolfson and Peterson Construction is currently hiring for a Senior HR Business Partner to be based out of our primary National and Midwest regional office located in Bloomington (moving soon to Edina).
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will provide aligned groups with high-quality partnership, consultation and support to meet business metrics and goals. This includes coaching managers on team member engagement, performance management and development, new team member selection and onboarding, and retention.
Responsibilities:
Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
Partner with business leaders to develop strategy and implement action plans to improve culture, increase engagement, build morale and alignment, improve productivity, and increase retention.
Manage the roll-out and/or support of annual human resources processes, including performance appraisals, goal setting, compensation planning, compliance reporting, and engagement surveys for assigned regions and departments.
Collaborate with business leaders to research and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough and effective investigations, delivering consistent, proactive, pragmatic and sound guidance and coaching, and developing follow-up tools and processes that are consistent with HR policies and applicable employment laws.
Develop and deliver training and coaching to managers and team members in a variety of areas including performance management and development, total rewards practices, and employment practices.
Provide guidance, facilitation and support on the recruiting and selection process, onboarding, organizational structure, talent development, and succession planning.
Identify, track, and analyze key HR metrics for the organization.
Provide synopses of trends and make recommendations to senior management.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to Human Resources.
Ensure compliance with Company's HR policies and employment practices.
Maintain the highest level of security and confidentiality in all matters.

Requirements:
History of experience and proven results including:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field plus 8+ years of progressive experience in the broad spectrum of generalist functions, including, but not limited to employee relations, employee development, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and policy development.
Experience in one other HR specialized area preferred, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits or diversity, equity and inclusion.
SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Solid knowledge of human resources related compliance requirements.
Proven experience handling complex employee relations issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
Developed communication skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively connect with diverse audiences.
Demonstrated proactive problem solver, able to work independently, self-starter.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
Ability to travel up to 25%, including job site visits.
Capability to identify and capitalize on opportunities quickly; ability to maintain effective balance between strategic and tactical priorities.
Experience cultivating an active network of relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to colleagues and connecting with employees at all levels.
Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback.
Estimated Pay:
$104,000.00 - $172,000.00
