HSE Representative
- Location: Vernon, CA
- Work Schedule : Mon to Fri, 7 am to 4pm (occasional OT as needed, shift hours need to flex somewhat to support 2nd shift operations)
- Hourly rate: 51$ to 63$ per hour
- Contract: W2 contract under staffing supplier, with 1-year duration (temp-to hire according to performance).
Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related AND 4 to 6 years of experience in HSE for manufacturing/industrial settings.

Safety shoes; other PPE will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Compliance & Sustainability: Manage air, water, and waste permits; conduct audits; submit regulatory reports; assess environmental impacts of manufacturing changes; drive waste reduction and remediation.
- Health, Safety & Industrial Hygiene: Direct core safety programs (e.g., LOTO, PPE); conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSEA); eliminate operational hazards; run safety committees and employee training.
- Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis: Lead incident, near-miss, and observation investigations; conduct root cause analyses; develop corrective action plans and present findings across business units; manage worker's compensation and return-to-work cases.
- Regulatory & Agency Liaison: Build working relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure local work instructions reflect current safety guidelines.
Scope & Governance
Operates independently to address daily plant needs while executing tasks assigned or audited by the Regional HSE Manager and Corporate HSE Director.
