Description:

Job Description

To ensure RFP 6000 reflects the needs of its customers, ITS will establish a Network Advisory Council (NAC) to gather input on agency telecommunications needs and incorporate that feedback into the development of the new RFP. The NAC will be modeled after successful advisory approaches used in other statewide initiatives.

In Scope Work & Deliverables A. Discovery and Current-State Assessment

The provider shall:

  • Review RFP 5000 and related materials as background and context

  • Identify:

  • Services that should be retained

  • Services requiring modernization or restructuring

  • Services or technologies that should not be rebid

  • Conduct structured discovery sessions with ITS staff to understand:

  • Current statewide telecommunications usage

  • Governance, operational, and procurement standards and constraints

  • Desired future-state capabilities for RFP 6000

Note: The UCaaS category specifications will need to be developed from the ground up rather than revised from existing specifications. This will require a provider with demonstrated experience in UCaaS technologies and the ability to develop comprehensive, technically sound, procurement-ready specifications that reflect current industry offerings and public-sector telecommunications needs.

Also, the SD-WAN category specifications will need to be developed from the ground up rather than revised from existing specifications. This will require a provider with demonstrated experience in SD-WAN technologies, an understanding of the associated network security concerns, and the ability to develop technically sound, procurement-ready specifications that address security requirements, including IP address whitelisting and access control capabilities.
