Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a quality engineering team in Richmond, VA focused on supporting and enhancing a suite of learning-based applications. This individual will serve as a technical leader for Playwright-based automation efforts, developing and maintaining automated test solutions, expanding automation coverage, performing code reviews, and helping establish automation standards across the QA organization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional quality assurance and test automation experience, including 3+ years working with modern automation frameworks and CI/CD environments, along with hands-on expertise in Playwright, C# or TypeScript development, API testing, and a passion for mentoring other engineers while continuously improving automation maturity, testing processes, and overall product quality. The pay for this role ranges from $44-$54/hour based on experience.

Skills and Requirements

•5+ years of professional quality assurance and test automation experience, including 3+ years experience with modern automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines •Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and regression suites using Playwright •Experience developing automation solutions in C# or TypeScript •Experience creating and maintaining end-to-end, regression, smoke, and API automated tests •Strong API testing experience •Experience performing automation code reviews and enforcing automation standards and best practices •Ability to analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall automation reliability •Experience mentoring, training, or supporting QA Engineers on automation tools and frameworks •Familiarity with tools like Postman for API validation •Experience with performance testing tools, particularly JMeter •Exposure to AI-driven tools or techniques within testing workflows
