Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

The Coordinator of the Gift Shop has the overall responsibility, authority and accountability for successfully managing a profitable business.

Responsibilities

  • Directs successful retail management operations of the Gift Shop, performs detailed inventories, reviews merchandise trends, develops inventory accordingly and directs financial management.

  • Manages Gift Shop staff and volunteers, evaluates employee’s performance, interviews, hires and schedules employees, provides employee development, and delegates responsibility to staff and volunteers.

  • Prepares and maintains current reports including productivity, daily sales, sales, tax, deposits, returned checks, and accounts payable.

  • Develops and executes promotional calendar for seasonal sales and holiday events.

  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of retail management, buying, and supervision experience.
