Salary Range $24.60 - $31.67 Hourly

Description

As a Departmental Trainee you will start up, operate, and shut down heat treating furnaces within assigned department to alter the physical and chemical properties of parts according to customer specifications, quality requirements, and production schedules following instructions and guidance of furnace operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set, monitor, and regulate furnaces following schedules, shop orders or supervisors instructions to process parts in accordance with customer requirements.

  • Load parts or die work in baskets and rack according to material type, shape and size prior to processing.

  • Inspect in-process and final hardness, case depth, straightness, and cleanliness to ensure parts meet customer requirements.

  • Document inspection results and tag parts with appropriate inspection tags.

  • Record furnace cycle on production log and cycle number on shop order.

  • Start up, regulate, and shut down equipment.

  • Respond to customer service inquiries and follow schedule changes in order to meet expediting requirements.

  • Fill in for furnace operators as necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen which includes THC.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.

Experience:

  • On-the-job training is required for this position.

  • Must be available for all shifts.
