Full job description

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is hiring Cancer Registry Specialists who will plan, organize, coordinate and administer the activities of the hospitals Cancer Registry. The Cancer Registry Specialist will also assist the Cancer Committee and Administration team in meeting program standards required for accreditation by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer; and will perform related duties as required.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history and education.

Schedule: Must be available to work in office from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Experience: Two (2) years of Cancer Registry experience in a hospital, Regional Registry or clinical research setting.

Certification: Must possess and maintain a current certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)/ Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) from the National Cancer Registrar's Association (NCRA).The ideal candidate will possess the criteria below:• College-level courses in anatomy and physiology

  • Associates Degree Cancer Data Management or related field
  • Be proficient in the use of CNEXT cancer reporting software.
