Land Survey Technician / Crew Chief - Green Bay, WI

The Land Survey Group at Ayres is seeking an individual in our Green Bay, WI office location. Our projects are varied, our work is rewarding, and our team is supportive, collaborative, and fun! The services are provided by a cohesive team of crew chiefs, technicians, professional land surveyors, and project managers, bringing consistent and reliable deliverables through an array of resources available to our employees and clients. This is an ideal position for a qualified candidate with the ability to work independently and as part of a survey crew.

What You'll Do

  • Perform a combination of field and office surveying and mapping work.

  • Collect and process data using GPS/GNSS equipment, robotic total stations, and Trimble technologies.

  • Utilize Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related survey software.

  • Support boundary, topographic, design, and construction layout surveys.

  • Collaborate with survey professionals, engineers, project managers, and Professional Land Surveyors.

  • Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures.

  • Occasional overtime, overnight travel, and out-of-town work may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field; or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying.

  • Two or more years of survey-related field experience

  • Experience with survey equipment and software.

  • Ability to work outdoors, navigate uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with transportation, municipal, utility, or site development surveys.

  • Construction layout, ALTA surveys, WisDOT right-of-way plats, or LiDAR QA/QC.

  • Experience with Trimble equipment, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

  • Interest in pursuing Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure.
