Job Requisition Introductory Paragraph:
This is a Student Co-op position located in Saginaw, MI. This position supports the activities of the North American Logistics Team, a department of our PC&L (Supply Chain) organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with Material Planners, Trade Compliance Specialists, Dock Personnel, and other cross-functional teams to support transportation planning and execution. Responsibilities include route optimization, transportation mode analysis, and identification of freight cost-savings opportunities. Daily work involves the use of Excel, Power BI, and the QAD (MRP) system, along with participation in various logistics-related projects and assignments.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

Support the daily management of North American truckload routes.

Support holiday planning of North American truckload routes.

Maintain transportation data and ensure data integrity within route trackers, carrier trackers, and master bid files.

Design and optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce freight costs.

Utilize the Power BI Inbound Freight tool to analyze inbound material volume.

Develop and communicate Route Details to internal and external stakeholders.

Create and maintain documentation for truckload logistics processes and procedures.

Analyze supplier releases to identify route consolidation and cancellation opportunities.
-
Track financials, analyze freight costs, and investigate discrepancies.
-
Maintain transportation-related data within the QAD (MRP) system.
-
Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective transportation execution.

Maintain and update the Supplier Delivery Window Dashboard supporting plant dock operations.

Support implementation and utilization of the Transportation Management System (TMS).

Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw.
-
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Supply Chain or Business.

Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters.

- Up to 40 hours per week during the summer
-
Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale.

Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters.

Candidate must be very Detail Oriented and possess good Documentation Skills

Candidate must possess excellent Communications Skills, both written and oral

Candidate must possess Analytical Skills

Candidate must be a self-starter, independent worker.

Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Teams, Excel, and Word)

Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship.
