Description Hanwha Qcells designs, builds, and manages financially sustainable solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions. The company brings a decade of global leadership in solar PV to North America, combining best-of-world technology, processes, and partnerships to deliver utility-grade solar PV solutions customized for the US energy market.
Please note this role is in Cartersville, GA, 5 days a week onsite. Relocation is available as needed.
Role Summary: The Trade and Customs Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing corporate processes and procedures and ensuring Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws and internal procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal compliance procedures and policies and ensure adherence.
- Oversee Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stays abreast of legal and corporate requirements in customs, trade, etc.
- Report Qcells compliance with customs and trade laws and regulations to management.
- Train and educate staff and stakeholders regarding legal and corporate requirements and updates.
- Trade: Develop customs compliance procedures and ensure compliance
- Manage and communicate with Customs brokers. Ensure adherence with Broker SOPs
- Maintain tariff classification database
- Assist with value and origin assessments
- Conduct post-entry audits of Customs entries
- Manage retention of import records
- Liaise with Qcells legal and management teams
- Understand internal ERP systems.
- Audit compliance with policies and laws.
Education and Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or other relevant area
- 8-10 years of compliance or risk management experience in customs and trade law
- Candidate must hold valid US Customs Broker license
