Accountant | Davenport, IA | Approximately 30 hours/week
About the Opportunity
We are supporting a well-established Quad Cities nonprofit organization to provide accounting support during a period of organizational transition. This individual will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day financial operations while leadership evaluates the future structure of its accounting function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting and bookkeeping professional who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and weekly vendor payments

Manage accounts receivable activities

Process bi-weekly payroll
-
Prepare payroll reporting and related documentation

Support retirement plan administration and employee paperwork

Make daily deposits and maintain accurate financial records

Assist with general accounting and administrative functions as needed

Requirements
What We're Looking For

Previous bookkeeping experience with strong AP, AR, and payroll knowledge

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a close-knit team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Organized, detail-oriented approach to work

Comfortable navigating change and supporting a growing organization through transition

Experience with nonprofit accounting is a plus, but not required
