Strategy Senior Specialist -(2L)

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' work experience or

• Master's Degree and 2 years' work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' work experience in engineering, finance, economics or related field

• Master's Degree and 2 years' work experience in engineering, finance, economics or related field

Relevant Work Experience

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and distill data and information into business insights, and effectively communicate insights in meetings, presentations, and in writing, required.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment, required.

• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new skills, required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by experience in facilitating cross-functional meetings, crafting and delivering presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including executive audiences, required.

• Ability to do both independent, rigorous research and also contribute to a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment is essential, required.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Projects), required.

• Knowledge of clean energy technologies and business models, preferred.

• Knowledge and experience in energy market modelling including capacity, energy, and ancillary services values and NY State incentive structures, preferred.

• Prior experience working with or for electric or gas utilities and understanding of business mode, preferred.

• Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic finance role, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
