THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong accounting professional to join our Controllership team. This role will be responsible for the accounting and reporting and preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows), ensuring the accuracy of key client accounts and strengthening internal controls around reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a continuous-improvement mindset and comfort operating in a multi-entity or complex organizational structure.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes across key clients and ensure client financial reporting requirements are accurate, complete and performed in a timely manner

Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement (P&L), and cash flows over key Sales accounts

Reconcile key P&L accounts to identify, investigate, and resolve variances or discrepancies, working closely with finance and sales teams

Manage revenue recognition over key clients, working closely with the Technical Accounting, finance and Sales teams

Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, unearned revenue, accounts payables, accruals) on a monthly basis

Collaborate with finance, sales and treasury to improve cash flow collection efforts for key clients

Assist with technical accounting research and documentation as needed

Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely clearing of reconciling items

Leverage technology (e.g., ERP systems, consolidation software, Power BI/Tableau, Power Query) to automate reporting and strengthen data integrity

Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance analytics capabilities and support data-driven decision-making

Support internal and external audit requests related to reporting and controls.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA strongly preferred

5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including consolidation and financial reporting

Strong understanding of GAAP, consolidations and general ledger accounting principles
-
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred
-
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query); experience with BI reporting tools a plus
-
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
-
Prior public accounting experience a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong analytical skills to perform analysis and reconcile key accounts
- Problem-solving abilities to investigate reconciling items and collaborate with internal teams
- Knowledge of accounting standards to ensure compliance with provisioning and write-offs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

WORKING CONDITIONS Location: This role will be based in Norwalk, Connecticut. The position offers a hybrid arrangement, with an expected 4 days in office.
