Full job description

LOCATION: Maintenance Department

1101 East Dixon Road

Little Rock, Arkansas 72206

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Vocational technical training in HVACR (five years experience will substitute for vocational training)

  • Two years work experience

  • Prefer that applicant hold at least a Class "C" HVACR license

  • Must have universal EPA certification

REPORTS TO: HVAC Foreman

JOB GOAL: To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use may be available at all times.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform maintenance on air conditioning equipment.

  • Requisition parts and supplies for air conditioning equipment.

  • Instruct custodians in operation of air conditioning equipment.

  • Assist in supervision of air conditioning contracts.

  • Recommend needed improvements to Director of School Plant Services.

  • Perform some heavy lifting.

  • Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.

  • Perform work underneath, on top of, and in attic of buildings.

  • Perform work in extreme weather conditions.

  • Respond to after hour emergencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 12 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($19.10/hr. - $30.66/hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 244 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

Benefits Eligible: Yes

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
