Kohler Co-op - User Experience Design
Work Mode: Onsite
**Location: ** Onsite, Kohler, WI
Term: May 2027 through December 2027
Program Overview
As a User Experience Design Co-Op at Kohler, you will gain hands-on experience helping shape intuitive, thoughtful, and user-centered digital experiences across websites, applications, and product platforms. This role is designed for a curious and analytical student who is passionate about understanding user needs, gathering insights, and translating research into meaningful design recommendations. Throughout the co-op, you will partner with design and cross-functional teams to support user research, usability testing, feedback sessions, and concept evaluation. You will contribute to real projects that help improve the way users engage with Kohler’s digital experiences while building your skills in research, storytelling, problem solving, and human-centered design.
What You’ll Do

Research user needs, behaviors, requirements, and process flows to better understand the full user experience across websites, applications, and digital product experiences.

Support the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of user-centered design research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.

Study target customers through interviews, questionnaires, observations, A/B testing, and other research methods to uncover insights that inform design decisions.

Help identify usability challenges, gather feedback on design concepts, and translate research findings into clear recommendations for improving the user experience.

Coordinate, conduct, and moderate usability tests, then prepare thoughtful written analysis and summaries to share key findings with design and cross-functional partners.
Skills/Requirements
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited university-level program in User Experience or a related discipline, such as psychology, sociology, and focused in human behavior, UX/UI design.

Strong portfolio demonstrating the application of user-centered design practices within digital product design, UX/UI design, or related project work.

Proficient with design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity using current UX/UI prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Flinto, Principle, InVision Studio, Marvel, or similar platforms.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly share research insights, design recommendations, and user experience concepts with design and cross-functional partners.
