Full job description

Warehouse Operations Specialist

The warehouse specialist is responsible for managing the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse. They ensure that products are properly received, stored, and prepared for delivery while maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations.

Essential Functions

  • Receive, sort and process all incoming shipments to ensure that they match the purchase order and meet quality standards.

  • Maintain logs to track, trace, and resolve shipping problems with all major carriers.

  • Sorts and processes mailings as assigned.

  • Package and prepare items for external shipments, coordinate deliveries and pick-ups.

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles

  • Process weekly outgoing courier packages.

  • Participate in regular physical counts of inventory to ensure accuracy.

  • Create electronic shipments on carrier websites.

  • Liaise with Building Management on maintenance activities.

  • Monitor/Order/replenish warehouse inventory.

  • Maintain neat and orderly work environment, including following all safety protocols and regulations.

  • Coordinate facility related jobs with external service vendors.

  • Other Duties as needed.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent customer service, accuracy and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

  • Willingness to be flexible and work in a team.

  • Ability to provide support on a wide range of topics

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or related field.

  • Basic Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products, basic math and computer skills

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • This job is performed in a professional office environment.

  • This position is a highly active and mobile one;

  • Moderate amounts of heavy lifting are required,

Hours and Travel

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

  • Travel is expected for this position using company vehicle.

  • Limited Overtime opportunities may become available throughout the year.
