Full job description
Provide technical health economics expertise at affiliate level by identifying solutions and defining projects to inform and optimize pricing, reimbursement and market access; act as Senior Technical Lead for assigned health economics and other projects; mentor junior health economists; contribute to the further development of health economics solutions, client service and commercial success.
Responsibilities
Technical and strategic leadership

Act as a technical and strategic expert in matters related to health economics, e.g. global economic modelling, data analysis and local HTA submissions.

Act as strategic lead, ensuring the strategic direction of the project and working closely with the project lead, modelling lead and client to determine suitable approaches.

Contribute to thought leadership through developing and sharing perspectives, advancing methodological discussions, and contributing to publications and conferences
Project leadership and quality assurance
-
Lead projects and programs of work, including acting as primary client contact when required.

Ensure high quality of all client deliverables.

Oversee the development of economic models and associated materials, submission dossiers, data analysis plans and reports, research abstracts, posters and manuscripts.
People management and team development

Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among the team that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity, as well as cohesiveness, support and working effectively together to enable success.

Supervise and mentor a strong, proactive team. This includes assisting with hiring and training staff as required.

Support the learning and development of the team through formal and on-the-job training, advice and coaching.

Ensure employees meet organizational expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement and goal accomplishment.
Operational and financial management

Responsible for a health economics sales target and assist as needed with the operating budget and financial responsibilities and activities of the department.

Assist with planning and allocating resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work and meet utilization goals.

Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output.
Business development and external visibility

Contribute to business development through appropriate activities, including:
-
Writing, costing and quality checking proposals.
-
Marketing outreach activities such as blog writing, seminar preparation and delivery.

Preparing submissions for and attending relevant conferences as required.
-
Master’s degree in health economics, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, data science, pharmacology, biochemistry, or other relevant STEM field

MBA, MD or PhD highly desirable

Management consulting background
-
8+ years of relevant global/United States HEOR/health economics experience, including significant experience within a pharmaceutical/biotech consultancy, pharmaceutical company, HTA agency, or similar environment

An in-depth understanding of health economic models, technical methods and key HTA body requirements ,

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Influencing skills

Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload with a high degree of attention to detail
