This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can manage day-to-day financial activities while providing accurate reporting and insight to leadership. The role offers close collaboration with ownership and requires strong judgment, precision, and the ability to keep core financial processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the company’s accounting and finance activities, ensuring accurate records and reliable financial operations across the business.

  • Manage monthly and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and review of the general ledger.

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to support timely vendor payments and effective collection of customer balances.

  • Process payroll for a workforce of fewer than 100 employees while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.

  • Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to resolve discrepancies and maintain integrity of financial data.

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports that provide leadership with clear visibility into business performance.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by compiling financial data, analyzing trends, and highlighting key variances.

  • Partner closely with ownership on financial planning, operational decisions, and other initiatives that impact company performance. Requirements • At least 2 years of accounting experience, with strong preference for candidates who have managed full-cycle accounting responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle end-to-end accounting processes, including close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Experience working with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and confidence using accounting systems to manage day-to-day financial tasks.

  • Knowledge of monthly and annual reporting practices, with the ability to produce accurate and organized financial statements.

  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting concepts and the ability to interpret financial results effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with ownership or senior leadership.

  • High attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and a dependable, hands-on approach in a small company environment.
